Production Process

WIRE SAW

This wire saw is equipped with a diamond button cable. It has the capacity to cut a maximum size of 12 ft. x 5 ft. It is used to reduce large boulder sized sandstone, brought in by truck from our quarries, to a more moveable palatalized size slab. It is also used to cut slabs that are larger than 26 in. wide. Water cooled.

36” DIAMOND SLAB SAW

Water Cooled, this saw can cut up to a maximum size of 15” x 48”. Used to cut slabs, and other essential cuts for products such as bookends, spheres, sculptures, etc.

24” DIAMOND SLAB SAW

Water Cooled, this saw can cut up to a maximum size of 9” x 72”. Used to cut slabs, and reduce sizes suitable for producing bookends, spheres, sculptures, etc.

OVERHEAD GRINDER / POLISHER

Water cooled, this overhead grinder is equipped with Diamond / Carbide grinding heads. This machine is used to remove any saw-marks from products that require a smooth surface such as slabs, clocks and some bookends.

DIAMOND BLADE TRIM SAWS

Water cooled, these saws are used to provide the final cuts to most products including coasters, bookends, slabs, clocks, spheres and sculptures, etc.

DIAMOND CORE DRILL

Water cooled, this core drill is used for producing coasters, round rock-boxes, candles and clocks.

DIAMOND CORE SPHERE MACHINE

Water cooled, this core is used for the final steps in making spheres. Each sphere is hand turned and rotated on core cup until completed. This machine is capable of turning spheres from 2” to 10” in diameter.

ABRASIVE SANDBLASTING

Pressurized air combined with abrasive grit is used to produce sandblasted sculptures, bookends, etc.
